The Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory (ACCPA), with support from the African Climate Foundation, is set to host a landmark Green Finance Workshop on April 29, 2025, at the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra. Themed “Financing a Sustainable Future: Unlocking Green Investment for Industrial Growth,” the workshop aims to catalyze dialogue and action on leveraging green finance to drive sustainable industrial development in Ghana and across Africa.
This high-level, fully funded workshop will convene a diverse group of stakeholders, including government regulators, manufacturers, investors, banks, development partners, and financial institutions, to explore innovative financing mechanisms that align with Ghana’s industrialization goals and climate commitments.
The workshop is strategically designed to address the urgent need for climate-smart financing tools such as green bonds, blended finance, ESG-aligned investments, and concessional loans, while also highlighting policy and regulatory reforms that can create an enabling environment for sustainable investment.
“We believe green finance holds the key to transforming Ghana’s industrial sector in a way that is climate-resilient, inclusive, and economically viable,” said Paul Frimpong, Executive Director of ACCPA. “This workshop will provide a platform for meaningful exchange, strategic collaboration, and capacity building among all relevant actors.”
Participants will engage in expert-led presentations, interactive sessions, and practical workshops, focusing on accessing green finance, integrating ESG principles, and scaling up green industrial projects. Case studies from successful African and global initiatives will also be showcased to inspire context-specific solutions.
As the global shift toward low-carbon economies gains momentum, this workshop marks an important step in Ghana’s journey toward a sustainable and competitive industrial future.
