Kenney Isaac Debrah

Research Associate, Ghana

Kenney Isaac Debrah is a young Ghanaian banker and economist by profession. Kenney joined GCB Bank PLC in the year 2014. Previously he was an ICT tutor at SCI TECH EDUCATION CENTER a basic school in Accra.

He joined the 2012 team of the COMPUTERIZED SCHOOL SELECTION AND PLACEMENT SYSTEM (CSSPS) of the GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE to do the 2012 placement of basic school graduates into second-cycle institutions.

He served as the Programs Director for Young Global Leaders Network and rose to become the Deputy CEO in Charge of operations and Acting Director of finance. He successfully organized youth programs both at the national and continental levels. Among these programs is the Young African Leaders Summit which brought young African leaders across the continent together in Accra to deliberate on issues affecting the African youth.

He is currently a compliance officer with Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), a research fellow with the Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory and Programs Manager with the Ghana Economic Society (GES).

Kenney holds a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana and an MSc degree in Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

He is currently a member of the Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE).

Kenney is very passionate about youth empowerment and development, poverty alleviation from the African continent through financial inclusion, Africa’s strategic partnership in the global arena, and economic empowerment.

Kenney is a Research Associate and Programs Officer at the Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory.
