Dr. Isaac Ankrah

Senior Research Fellow, Ghana

Dr. Isaac Ankrah holds a Ph.D. in Technology Economics and Management and a Master of Economics degree in Financial Engineering from Xiamen University, China.

He is currently designated as a Lecturer at the Economics Department of Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), where he is actively involved in teaching associated courses, including Applied Mathematics for Economics, Energy Economics, and Economics for Innovation and Technology.

Besides a coveted service as a reviewer for several SCI and SSCI journals, Dr. Ankrah is dedicated to empirical research, focusing on Energy Economics and Policy Design.

Multiple publications on renewable energy development in emerging economies undergird his research interest.

In his recently published study, he modeled Ghana’s chances of being energy-efficient, suggesting policy implications for improving the odds and the persistence level of cleaner energy growth.

He also occasionally serves as a facilitator for Energy Professionals at the Africa Institute of Management Studies.

Dr. Ankrah was recently named one of Sub-Saharan Africa’s 30 Most Influential Young Economists by the Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE).
