Dawit Zegeye Haile

Dawit Zegeye Haile is an expert in economics, diplomacy, peace, and security.

He pursued his Masters in Peace and Security Studies from Addis Ababa University’s Institute for Peace and Security and another Masters in International Relations. He holds two bachelor’s degrees, one from Addis Ababa University in Economics and another from New Generations University College in Global Studies and International Relations. He was awarded a medal for his academic excellence.

Currently, Dawit is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Africa.

He has participated in more than 50 continental and international conferences and forums as a participant and a panelist and has received numerous honors for his positive impact in his community and Africa.

Previously, he was the Executive Director of YALDA-Ethiopia, a member of the African Union Youth Advisory Board, an Advisor on International Affairs at Zemen ena Tibeb Magzin, a UNICEF UReport steering committee member, an international partnerships advisor at African Rebirth, and a liaison to the African Union and UNECA at African Artist Peace Initiatives, among other positions.

He is also the founding director of DZ Consultancy International. Currently, he works at the international organization.

He is an influential young leader in Africa; moreover, he is working for the realization of the Africa-China partnership.
