ACCPA Policy Communications Fellowship

The Africa-China Centre for Policy & Advisory (ACCPA) invites applications for the 2026–2027 ACCPA Policy Communications Fellowship—a selective volunteer fellowship for passionate and creative individuals interested in public policy, strategic communications, international affairs and digital media.

Fellows will support ACCPA’s public engagement through webinars, podcasts, digital communications and multimedia storytelling while gaining valuable hands-on experience working with one of Africa’s leading policy think tanks.

Only up to three (3) Fellows will be selected.

Fellowship Responsibilities

Selected Fellows will support a range of communications activities, including:
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of webinars and policy dialogues.
  • Coordinating speakers, participants and event logistics.
  • Hosting or co-hosting ACCPA podcasts, interviews and online discussions.
  • Supporting the production of video and multimedia content.
  • Developing social media content for LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube and other digital platforms.
  • Drafting event promotions, newsletters and communication materials.
  • Supporting live event coverage and online audience engagement.
  • Assisting with website content updates where required.
  • Contributing creative ideas to strengthen ACCPA's communications strategy.
  • Supporting other policy communications activities as assigned.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from individuals who

  • Have an interest in public policy, international affairs or strategic communications.
  • Demonstrate an interest in Africa–China relations and global development.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are confident using social media and digital communication platforms.
  • Have experience in content creation, podcasting, event hosting or multimedia production (an advantage).
  • Are creative, organised and proactive.
  • Can work independently and collaboratively.
  • Have access to a reliable internet connection and personal computer.
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) is an added advantage.

Is this a paid fellowship?

No. The ACCPA Policy Communications Fellowship is a volunteer programme designed to provide practical experience and professional development.

A maximum of three (3) Fellows will be selected for the 2026–2027 cohort.

Yes. The fellowship is primarily remote, with occasional in-person engagements where applicable.
