The Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory (ACCPA) and the Institute for Strategic and Policy Studies (ISPS), South Sudan, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening research, policy dialogue, and advisory support across Africa.
The partnership underscores the commitment of both institutions to foster collaboration in policy development, strategic studies, and international cooperation. Under the MoU, ACCPA and ISPS will work together on joint research projects, policy forums, capacity-building initiatives, and knowledge-sharing activities that address Africa’s most pressing development challenges.
Speaking at the signing, Mr. Paul Frimpong, Executive Director of ACCPA, highlighted the importance of this partnership:
“This MoU is a significant step in deepening collaboration between our two institutions. By combining ACCPA’s expertise in Africa–China relations with ISPS’s strategic policy insights, we are creating a platform that will generate impactful research and policy solutions to support sustainable development across the continent.”
Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Melha Rout Biel, Executive Director of ISPS, emphasized the timeliness of the collaboration:
“ISPS is delighted to enter into this partnership with ACCPA. Together, we will strengthen evidence-based policy advisory, promote knowledge exchange, and support Africa’s role in shaping global policy agendas. This collaboration will open new opportunities for research and dialogue that benefit South Sudan, Ghana and Africa at large.”
The partnership also paves the way for joint publications, conferences, and engagement with policymakers, scholars, and civil society, ensuring that research outcomes inform actionable strategies for Africa’s sustainable growth.
